Back To School Swag For Boys

July 27, 2017

Thank you Kohl’s for sponsoring this post!

Joel is going to kindergarten this fall and he is busting at the seams with excitement. Wait… did I just say my first born son is going to kindergarten?! Do you all remember when I had him back in 2011? It feels like just yesterday! Now I’m shopping at Kohl’s for back to school clothes!! Why do they have to grow so fast?

This is my FIRST back to school season and it warms my heart that he’s so excited. When you’re this young returning to school is like Christmas but how many years do you think I have before that changes? How many years do I have before he’s kicking and screaming to get up for school in the morning and giving me a hard time to do his homework. You know what, let’s not think about that. Let me enjoy this moment while it lasts.

If you remember, I purchased really stylish and durable summer clothing for Joel and Elle from Kohl’s a few months ago and I made sure to take full advantage of their never ending rewards, coupons, and sales for his back to school clothes. In fact they are currently hosting a Friends & Family Sale! Save 20% site wide July 27 – July 30 with code FAMFRIENDS. Oh honey you are so very welcome.

Joel’s Comic Hero Look

If I can find a graphic t with a super hero, dinosaur or an automobile on the front I’m the best mommy in the world! Kohl’s has no shortage of graphic t’s in an array of colors and styles. I stocked up on many colors so Joel can love his look every day.  When it comes to jeans I always have to go with the skinny jeans and even still they aren’t as fitted as you would expect.

Levi’s 520 Super Skinny Jeans
Nike Mogan Mid Top Skate Shoes

Kohl’s makes it really easy to shop for Joel because he loves graphic t’s and jeans. And because I save so much when shopping at Kohl’s I snagged myself a cute off the shoulder smocked dress!

Joel’s King Lizard Look

When I saw the Nike Mogan Skate Shoes on the Kohl’s website it took me back to my childhood. If you’re from New York, you most likely called a sneaker very similar in style to this one “Uptowns” referring to Harlem NY.  When I told Joel that I wore these sneakers as a little girl he had to have them.

Oh how I miss the fun of school shopping for clothes with boys! One is now in college, the other is a junior in high school. They pretty much do all their own shopping now. I love the looks your son is showing off! Here’s to a great year.

Those outfits are just absolutely adorable. Those Nike Shoes are just perfection – they look like they have good foot support as well, so that’s a plus to it being stylish! Joel looks great in his new wardrobe!

Kohl’s is my fave! I love that I can shop for everyone in my family with easy and HELLO coupons! My daughter loves Converse and I love that they carry a variety of styles in store. No need to go to multiple places because who has time for that?!

It’s really very exciting to send a firstborn to school. He’s growing up so fast! Those outfits are comfortable for school. The Nike shoes look trendy, too.

My kids are older and in High School, so it isn’t as fun as it used to be to shop for school clothes like when they were little. I love Kohls for school clothes really clothes year round. Now my kiddos just pick out their own clothes so I sort of feel left out a bit. I remember all the excitement of the first day of Kindergarten! Have a great first day Joel and a great school year. And mama you will do just fine as well. It’s always the hardest to let go of our first born. Honestly they’re usually more ready than we are.

I can’t believe Joel Jr. is going to Kindergartern already! I remember when I came to NY to visit in 2012, he was still so little…time flies! Great deals on the clothes, I’ll have to tell my mom for Malachi! Good luck JJ!

Awww .. I remember the days of back to school shopping with my kids. In fact, Kohls was always on our list of places to go. Their prices were great and we could find everything we needed (and the kids liked!) Your little guy is looking fab. I especially love his lizard shirt and blue sneakers. x
