My Breakfast Before a 7 Mile Run

When I’m planning on running more than 6 miles this is my ideal breakfast. My friend Denise, an avid runner, shared this breakfast with me after I complained that after 5 miles I just can’t go anymore. She suggest 2 slices whole wheat bread to fuel my body because my body will use up the carbohydrates. The Peanut butter for enhanced energy. And a Half a banana for the sugar. I drink some Water and then wash it all down with my GNC AMP preworkout drink.

    Kudos to you for working so hard. I find it difficult to hold back when I see posts like this though. Carb loading is generally not the most efficient way of staying fueled. If you were to change your diet a bit, I think you’d see that your “crash” might not occur at all. There’s a lot of new information being researched, but I’m a big fan of fat fueled metabolism.     Breakfasts like the one you posted are more likely to put you in danger of diabetes and a fatty liver. You could be eating bacon and eggs rather than the toast. Let me know if you have any questions
