In honor of my sorority, Zeta Phi Sorority Inc., 95th Founders Day, I got dolled up to do a shoot with my favorite photographer. I am so honored to be a part of a sisterhood that has made it their mission to actively involved with the community. Oh and I was having an amazing hair day!

How are you maintaining this style at night? I am transition from flat iron to natural. I have to twist my hair every night or there is no definition. I use Shea Moisture Curl Souffle Gel to get definition but I don’t like the sticky feel. The product is a good moisturizer but are you currently doing at night?

Hi lovely Jenell! Your posts are always inspiring and I love the great advice. I have 3c hair and the twist outs and bantu knot outs work great fore in this hot LA weather. (Yes its hot even in January!)

Paula, one good way I have combatted the stickiness in products I buy is by adding a light oil like olive or jojoba to twist and take down the twists. I hope that helps.
