Look in the mirror. That’s your competition!
Every day when I wake up I aim to be better than I was yesterday. It’s been 6 months to see this transformation. This doesn’t happen over night. You have to stick with it. One workout at a time. One meal at a time. One day at a time. This is not a race. It’s my life.
Every decision that I make is to help me be a better person and to help me get stronger. Some easy ways that I compete with myself is with my calorie burn on workout machines. If I burned 270 calories in 30 minutes I will aim to lose 280 the next time I use that machine. When lifting weights I try to work on my form to complete the move better.
Another way I compete with myself is by aiming to increase my running distance. I started running 2 miles, then 3 miles and now I’m running 5-6 miles. This has taken months to do, but I’ve gotten better.
